Installation

Requirements

• macOS 14 Sonoma or later
• GPU with Metal support (all Macs since 2012)

Download

Download the latest pre-built release from GitHub Releases.

Unzip and drag Spectra.app into your Applications folder.

First Launch

On first launch, Spectra will:

1. Create a default config at ~/.config/spectra/config.conf
2. Open a terminal window with your default shell
3. Show the sidebar (toggle with Cmd+\)

Updating

Download the latest release from GitHub and replace the existing app.
